Presented by the National Turkey Federation (NTF), the Turkey Smoke Grant Program supports BBQ competitions in creating or expanding Turkey Smoke ancillary categories. This initiative promotes turkey as a versatile, year-round protein, ensuring its place as a star on the BBQ circuit.

The Turkey Smoke Grant Program is designed to elevate turkey in BBQ competitions nationwide. By supporting event organizers, we aim to showcase turkey’s versatility across BBQ styles and regions while encouraging year-round consumption.


Why Turkey Smoke?

  • Funding: $2,500 per event.
  • Eligibility: Open to BBQ competitions nationwide.
  • Flexibility: Tailor the Turkey Smoke category to fit your event’s structure and audience using your competition’s ancillary category rules.

What’s Included?
Each grant recipient receives funding for marketing, infrastructure, and prize money, plus a “Turkey Smoke in a Box” kit featuring:

  • -Branded trophies (1st-3rd place)
  • -Large vinyl banner
  • -Sticker packs, koozies, and more!

How to Apply
Organizers can apply easily online by providing:

  • -Event details and projected participation.
  • -Proposed budget and fund allocation.
  • -Supporting documents like permits and letters of support.

Application Deadline: Submit your application by January 17, 2025.

  • Past Success
  • Community Engagement
  • Promotion of Turkey

A: Grants are disbursed upfront upon approval to help organizers plan their Turkey Smoke category.

Q: What are the post-event requirements?
A: Share photos and winner details within 24 hours and complete a post-event survey within 7 days.
