Turkey Smoke Sizzles in Memphis
Turkey Smoke made its first appearance at Memphis in May’s World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest in May 2019, and it was a smash hit! From an impressive lineup of competitors to world-renowned barbecue celebrities serving up turkey samples, the event was action-packed and full of flavor.
Nearly 80 talented, diverse barbecue teams from across the globe took the Turkey Smoke challenge, whipping up Honeysuckle White turkey breast in a variety of unique ways. And they did not hold back when it came to creativity! Turkey egg rolls, turkey tinga tacos, smoked turkey bacon bombs and turkey medallions presented with golden drumsticks were just a few of the masterpieces turned in to the judges.
